Research the contact information of your municipal Hazardous Waste pick-up service and update Departmental Keys. Note: The Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) sets out the rights and duties of all parties in the workplace. It also has procedures for dealing with workplace hazards. Every working professional needs to be familiar with OHSA and regulations that apply to the film and television work environments. Guidelines have been established by representatives of the industry on hazard recognition and safe working practices. Consult your employer/supervisor for more information. You may also download the guide from the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Challenge:
An efficient, effective waste diversion program can help reduce costs and preserve the environmental by diverting dangerous waste from landfill and water systems. Check with your hauler and municipality to confirm process. Pre-planning is needed.
