Description:
Prevent grease, oil, fats and other chemicals from entering drains and waterways. Scrape food scraps into the compost bin. Use a strainer in the sink to catch food waste. Businesses may enroll in municipal programs and ensure proper maintenance of their grease trap or exterior grease bin.
Challenge:
Research municipal programs. Institute FOG maintenance in facilities and on location. Do not wipe grease up using cloth towels as grease will drain into the sewer.
