Waste Drop-Off Procedure
Impact Area: Organizational Leadership
Action Area: Waste Disposal
Action Item: Waste Drop-Off Procedure
Arrange to drop-off garbage/recycling/green waste/hazardous waste bags at the nearest City-Approved depot should the studio or shooting location not have a pick-up service. See here for City of Toronto depots: https://www.toronto.ca/services-payments/recycling-organics-garbage/drop-off-depots/
Drop-off runs to be added to the daily runs list for Production Assistants. As well, waste much be separated to avoid unnecessary items being sent to landfill.
Savings can be achieved by diverting recyclable materials from garbage containers. Some reports indicate we only recycle about 30 per cent of what is possible to recycle.
