Educate employees on three bins: waste (landfill), recycling and compost/organics. Ensure kitchen runners and all staff have a clear understanding of what can and can’t be composted or put into the organics, recycling and/or dumpsters. Confirm whether organic collection has been procured. If not, procure separate organic collection to confirm proper organic waste disposal.

There may be some research required, and questions at the beginning.

Dramatically reduce waste to landfill by de-contaminating the various waste streams. Organic waste is particularly harmful to the environment, as it produces methane gas. This is a potent greenhouse gas, contributing to climate change.
